Please read the full The Alpha Student privacy notice, explaining how we use and protect your personal data and how to exercise your rights.

This applies to anyone who provides their personal data to The Alpha Student, for example by joining a mailing list, making an accommodation enquiry, living at any The Alpha Student residence, using our App, registering for an event, or entering a competition.

Required Documents for Application

Please upload the following documents for your application to be processed:

  • Applicant Identification: Copy of the applicant’s Identity Document (ID) or Passport.
  • Account Payer Identification: Copy of the account payer’s Identity Document (ID) or Passport and proof of residence.
  • Proof of Academic Registration: Official confirmation of registration from your institution of study.
  • Bursary Confirmation Letter: Required for students funded by a bursary.
  • NSFAS Confirmation Letter: Required for students funded by NSFAS.

Example adaptations that can be made include –

Kitchen worktop areas have removable bottom drawers

Kitchen work surfaces are lowered for ease of reach

Studio is a spacious open area of 23sqm, for easy wheelchair access

Bathroom ensuite is a large wet room with power shower and shower seat

Grab rails and handrails next to shower and toilet areas

Emergency pull chords in bathroom

Our accessible studios also feature a large comfy bed with a work desk and chair, and additional bedside storage solutions. Our 24/7 on site team can support students with their daily requirements. Everything that you will need to feel comfortable is fully inclusive with our award-winning service and extras. These studios are prioritised for disabled student bookings only.
